One of my favorite places to capture the setting full moon! These beautiful volcanic peaks are Middle and North Sisters; South Sister is just out of view to the left of the frame. They’re wonderful to photograph in many conditions, but catching the full moon setting over them early in the morning, as the light builds just before sunrise, is a real treat. And it doesn’t last long, so you really have to be ready and in the right place when everything lines up just right!
